Dave Cava, co-founded Proactive Technologies, a New York City-based MSP, in 2007 and served as Proactive's COO/CFO from inception until the company was sold.  During that time, Proactive made the Inc. 5000 list seven times, growing to $10M in annual revenue before being acquired by Abacus Group in 2019. Dave served as Managing Director at Abacus until the transition was completed. 

Dave has been a featured speaker at IT Nation, Connectwise Share regional user groups, Taylor Business Group's Big BIG, and NYU's business incubator.  Dave has done extensive research related to the areas of recruiting personnel and scaling a professional services business. Dave is now a partner at Encore Strategic, serving as a business coach and peer group facilitator and overseeing the recruiting arm of the business.
